Why read Reflections?

In a world as chaotic as the one we have built for ourselves it is essential to find time to regenerate.

The busy lives that most of us have keep us locked into a state of convergent focus, where we are laser pointed onto one thing.

It may be a task of some kind that is consuming our focus or, more often than not, it is the chatter in our own head which takes our attention.

The way to truly regenerate ourselves is to move from convergent focus to divergent focus.

By comparison, divergent focus is where all of our senses are open, yet they are not focused on any one thing.

Within this book I share a series of 42 reflections on life, short enough not to send you into a flurry of thought, but meaningful enough to make a difference.

By reading one reflection per day, you gift yourself an opportunity to move into a regenerative state of divergent focus, while opening yourself up to the eternal question: what else is possible?

The Power of Possibility

We are designed to assess, conclude and label our experiences of life. This is an organising mechanism inside us, so that most things can become automated by the subconscious mind, freeing our conscious mind from the burden of processing every little bit of information we come into contact with.

While these labels are useful for the reason stated above, they become a limitation if left unchecked.

Why?

Because everything in this reality is subject to change, everything is in a constant state of evolution, in one way or another.

So if our labels for the world are not flexible enough to change, they are destined to become outdated.

This is why I say "that which served us yesterday may hinder us today", because if these labels remain unchecked, we hold onto a blueprint for life designed simply to get us more of what we have already had.

Each reflection in this book has the potential to open you up to a host of new possibilities, all you have to do is read them and be open to receive all life has to bring you.

About the Author

My name is Nick Bell, known as Esu Nick, and in short I am a truth seeker, Shamanic Apprentice, Spiritual Teacher & Coach.

Up until 2015 I had spent my life with my head buried in the sand, keeping myself sleeping-awake and resistant to how this reality really works. I was unhappy, unfulfilled and held a firm belief that the world was cruel and life was all about suffering.

Reflections is a collection of 42 seperate 1-3 minute reads which can support you in adopting a new perspective. This is the simplest way that I am able to support you in changing the way you see the world, and ultimatily transforming your life.

I wish you good fortune for the journey ahead and hope from the bottom of my heart that what I share in this book has the same profound effect on your life as it has had on mine.
